WHAT ARE CLUB NIGHTS LIKE?
Join us for an evening of songs, tunes, recitations and stories. All styles of acoustic music are welcome. We play in a friendly and informal setting (no stage or paid guests), have a laugh over a drink, and generally enjoy the 'craic'. During the pandemic, we ran a facebook watch party, and then a Zoom meeting on Sundays, at 8pm. But we're live again! Look at the Folk Club Facebook page for more details. ![]() |

Dunblane Folk Club meets (almost) every Sunday Evening starting at 8pm. All welcome: singers, instrumentalists, and listeners.
The Folk Club meets in the lounge bar of THE DUNBLANE. WHERE is THE DUNBLANE
The Dunblane is situated on Stirling Road between the railway station entrance (100 meters) and the Allan Water bridge (50 meters): postcode FK15 9EP for those using SatNav! Very near to Dunblane Station. While there is some possibility that The Dunblane may close for refurbishment, for now it's open, and so long as we can meet there, we will. If that changes, we'll move to The Tappit Hen - but for now we meet at The Dunblane! For a location map click_here DIRECTIONS to THE DUNBLANE From the south, where the M9 ends at the Keir Roundabout take the B8033 exit to Dunblane. After approximately one mile (crossing one roundabout) turn left onto Beech Road, which joins Stirling Road at the Allan Water bridge. The Riverside is at the junction of Beech Road and Stirling Rod. From the west, follow the A820 into Dunblane and proceed to the junction with the B8033 (traffic lights). Go left on to the B8033, and take the next left on to Beech Road as above. From the north, take the B8033 junction from the A9 into Dunblane. After approximately a mile and a quarter and a large roundabout (Indian restaurant, church, sports club) continue on the B8033 and take the next right (bus pull-in and shelter on the left) onto Beech Road as above. From the East. East of Dunblane lie the Ochil Hills, the Kingdom of Fife, and the North Sea. If you are prepared to come from any of those places you will, undoubtedly, have the navigational skills to find the Dunblane Hotel or The Riverside without assistance! On a Sunday night, there should be no difficulty finding a car parking space near to the venue. Last updated 8 January 2023, lestheprof at gmail full-stop com |
